The technical crew of a show is responsible for creating the visual world in which the story takes place. We have lots of positions available for students interested in working the technical side of a theatre production. All positions are open to the entire school. Students interested in a position must go through an application/interview process at the beginning of each production. We will always announce ahead of time when interviews will be. If you are applying for a design position, it is not required, but highly recommended that you bring a portfolio of your work. Below is a list of all the positions we offer for each production here at Green Hope. It is expected that you read and understand the duties and responsibilities of the position you are applying for prior to the interview. Please know that if you are selected for this position, you will be held accountable for said duties and responsibilities.

The role of Dance Captain is a student leadership position that works in tandem with the Choreographer to help maintain the artistic standards of all choreography and musical staging for the production.The dance captain is selected by both the choreographer and director. Essential skills include (but are not limited to) leading cast warm-ups, assisting the choreographer in teaching/cleaning dance material when needed, running dance rehearsals if the choreographer is not available, excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills, creativity/choreography skills, exceptional organizational skills, and more. The Dance Captain must know all material in order to review musical choreography and staging with actors, give notes, run additional rehearsals, and help to maintain the original style, intent, technique, and energy level of set choreography. Previous dance experience is a MUST and the time commitment includes all dance related rehearsals and all productions. This position is open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors.
